چکیده

The knowledge of vapour-liquid equilibrium (VLE) the carbon dioxide-alkanolamine-water system at high pressure plays a critical role in design natural gas sweetening systems. Semi-empirical thermodynamic models have been widely used to estimate VLE pressure. However, understanding their correlation behaviour is limited. Therefore, this study reviews chronological development and analyse performance two types semi-empirical for pressure-high loadings. effect process parameters first analysed on theoretical basis then modelled with use correction factors, defining systematic contribution different such models. analysis shows that require small corrections good pressure, if constants are well-determined. reports both reliable improved values alkanolamines, where applicable. In addition, combined constant based modified estimating said system, which were previously limited low equilibria loadings only. presents comprehensive review models, highlighting key issues, challenges future recommendations.

Stable solid and aqueous H2CO3 from CO2 and H2O at high pressure and high temperature

Carbonic acid (H2CO3) forms in small amounts when CO2 dissolves in H2O, yet decomposes rapidly under ambient conditions of temperature and pressure. Despite its fleeting existence, H2CO3 plays an important role in the global carbon cycle and in biological carbonate-containing systems. The short lifetime in water and presumed low concentration under all terrestrial conditions has stifled study o...

High pressure Raman spectroscopy of H2O-CH3OH mixtures

Complex intra-molecular interactions and the hydrogen-bonding network in H2O-volatile mixtures play critical roles in many dynamics processes in physical chemistry, biology, and Earth and planetary sciences. We used high pressure Raman spectroscopy to study the pressure evolution of vibrational frequencies and bonding behavior in H2O-CH3OH mixtures. We found that the presence of low CH3OH conte...

Hydration state and activity of aqueous silica in H2O-CO2 fluids at high pressure and temperature

Quartz solubility in H2O-CO2 fluids was measured at 800 °C and 10 kbar. Mixed fluids were generated from hydrous oxalic acid, silver oxalate, silver carbonate, and liquid H2O; solubility was determined by weight changes of the quartz crystals. Stringent blank tests and weighing procedures were used to establish the CO2 and H2O contents of experimental fluids. Using experimentally constrained mo...

Catalytic Reforming of Methane in the Presence of CO2 and H2O at High Pressure

Exploiting the greenhouse gas CO2 as raw material could be more advantageous than its long-term storage. For instance, CO2 can be used on large scale for the production of COrich syngas with a H2/CO ratio of unity. Such a syngas can be used for the synthesis of commodity chemicals like aldehydes and ketones obtained through carbonylation of alkenes in hydroformulation and can be produced by CO2...

FTIR study of CO2 and H2O/CO2 nanoparticles and their temporal evolution at 80 K.

Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy combined with a long-path collisional cooling cell was used to investigate the temporal evolution of CO2 nanoparticles and binary H2O/CO2 nanocomposites in the aerosol phase at 80 K. The experimental conditions for the formation of different CO2 particle shapes as slab, shell, sphere, cube, and needle have been studied by comparison with calculated...
